Tucked away in a tranquil, secluded forest, this is a pristine oasis in the middle of the Tanzanian savannah. Here, crystal-clear, geothermally warmed water bubbles up from underground, forming a beautiful, serene swimming hole that is ideal for a day trip. The drive to the springs offers a glimpse into local life and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

The Itinerary: A Day of Relaxation

Morning Pick-Up: Our friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi.
Scenic Drive: Enjoy a drive through picturesque landscapes, including dusty roads, sugar cane fields, and traditional Tanzanian villages. The journey itself is a great way to see a different side of the country.
Arrival and Exploration: Upon arrival at the hot springs, you'll be mesmerized by the clear turquoise water. You can spend your time swimming, relaxing in the shade of the fig and palm trees, or even swinging from a rope into the water! While in the water, you may even get a complimentary "foot spa" as the small fish in the spring nibble away at the dead skin on your feet!
Afternoon Return: After a relaxing and fun-filled day, you'll be driven back to your hotel in Moshi.

Bring a Swimsuit & Towel: While some vendors may have towels for rent, it's best to bring your own. However, if you don't have one, feel free to ask us to provide you with one.

The Water Isn't Actually "Hot": The name Maji Moto means "hot water," but the water is pleasantly warm, making it a perfectly refreshing temperature for swimming.
